FT Spitfire Speed Build Kit

The FT Spitfire is the 10th design in the swappable series and the first of which that is a warbird. This is the perfect gateway into scale-like flying and is also a good introduction into four channel flying. This plane is great for beginners and or experienced pilots who are looking for scale lines without the unforgiving flight characteristics of most scale warbirds. This was achieved by taking the wing of the FT Cruiser and heavily modifying it with the unmistakable elliptical Spitfire wing shape, increasing the size of the under cambered wing tips and adding dihedral. The result is a very forgiving scale warbird that flies just as good as it looks.

Will ship within 3 business days.
This includes the airframe only (no electronics).

Easy build and Fun to Fly

I have always loved the lines on the spitfire but had also heard the nightmare stories of the airfoil stalling at low speeds and plane going into an uncontrollable spin, so I never built one. This kit has relieved my worries of stability, I could not get the plane into a spin even by adding aileron at near stall speed. It is very stable and flys amazing. I also bought the power pack F which came with an 1100kv motor, servos and ESC/BEC. The model runs on a 3s battery and has plenty of power, it can climb vertically until nearly out of sight. This model runs so smooth and quiet that all you hear is the whistle of air flowing over the wings, you won't bother your neighbors or scare people at the park with this model. I would even recommend this one for amatuer to novice pilots it is really easy to fly, not too fast, but very aerobatic. The roll rate is slow and forgiving even with max throw on the ailerons. The pitch rate is very responsive and allows for tight turns, loops etc. The plane practically lands itself just cut throttle and keep in level and it gently glides to the ground. The only thing I would like to see is some landing gear to keep the nose off ground during landing. The prop is long and continues spinning when plane is gliding with no throttle so it tends to break when it hits the ground during landing. I have broken 4 props on as many flights even though my landing was smooth and gentle.
