Swappables

The FT Spitfire is the 10th design in the swappable series and the first of which that is a warbird. This is the perfect gateway into scale-like flying and is also a good introduction into 4-channel flying. This plane is great for beginners and experienced pilots who are looking for scale lines without the unforgiving flight characteristics of most scale warbirds. This was achieved by taking the wing of the FT Cruiser and heavily modifying it with the unmistakable elliptical Spitfire wing shape, increasing the size of the under cambered wing tips and adding dihedral. The result is a very forgiving scale warbird that flies just as good as it looks. This airframe is compatible with the Swappable Series developed by Josh Bixler.

This was the first kit that I purchased with flite test and I was not disappointed. It look great and for build purposes is not greatly difficult, however, there are some areas that would give some folks that are not used to building foam models issues. In spite of that however, it just takes practice and repetition. I agree with Flite Test's recommendation to trace parts. It's a good way to get experience in scratch building and to have replacement parts. Crashing is part of the hobby, you learn from your mistakes and get more proficient at flying and understanding theory and factors that affect flight and performance. That is just my take. I would rate it 4.5 stars but that is not an option.
