An American hero rides again! Dress your Flite Test Master Series F-4 Phantom II as the legendary USAF triple ace Robin Olds, commander of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW) at Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base from where he flew over 100 F-4 combat missions against North Vietnam. Olds had a combined total of 17 victories in World War II and the Vietnam War. He retired in 1973 as a brigadier general, after 30 years of service. Its an unusual pilot who does not give his bird a private touch of loving gratitude before he leaves her nest, Col. Robin Olds, 8th TFW Commander at Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base. Decals from the basic decal set that comes with the F-4 speed build kit are also utilized to complete this livery.
