RC Airplane Build Kit
Relive history with the FT Master Series DH.98 Mosquito Bundle. A wooden wonder from WW II, now reimagined for the RC plane enthusiast.
FT Master Series DH.98 Mosquito Bundle
The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito was a twin-engine, two-seat, mid-wing British aircraft that was adapted to serve as a bomber, fighter, night fighter, high-altitude fighter, and also a photo-reconnaissance plane for the Allies during World War II.
The construction of the Mosquito was built of a frame of wood, with a skin of plywood, that was glued and screwed together. Its wooden construction gave it many nicknames such as the Timber Terror, the Loping Lumberyard, and the most well known, the Wooden Wonder.
The Mossie, as it was also affectionately known as, was designed in 1938 and entered service in 1941. The Mossie was produced in three countries, England, Canada and Australia, and in 42 versions which accumulated to 7,780 total aircraft built for air forces around the world.
As a night fighter the Mosquito downed more than 600 Luftwaffe planes over Germany and intercepted just as many V-1 missiles (buzz bombs) in the air. As a bomber, it proved to be able to carry twice the bomb load for which it was designed.
The Flite Test DH.98 Mosquito is a very smooth flyer. Lock in the throttle at 50% and you've got perfect scale flight or punch the throttle for tried and true Mossie power.

This was a really fun build, the symbol
mapping made identifying parts a
breeze!! Thank you Flite Test!! -
Master Mossie
I've built, and flown, many FT planes.
This is my
first Master Series plane. Using
Symbol Mapping, and watching all
the videos, I was able to complete
the
build with some difficulties. What
made this plane, was the fantastic
first flight. Flew straight on launch,
using a 2200 (3s) batt. No trim
needed. Enough power, mild
aerobatics, very stable. Looks great
in the air. I WILL try another MS plane
in the future. Thanks.
