FT Master Series An-2 Annie
The Antonov An-2 "Annie" (aka "Colt" or "Type 22") is a Soviet mass-produced single-engine biplane built-in 1946. Its remarkable durability, high lifting power, and ability to take off and land from poor runways have given it a long service life. Numerous variants of the An-2 have been developed including agricultural spray applicator, water-bombing firefighter, floatplane, air-ambulance, and parachute drop plane. The An-2 has taken care of all these duties for over 75 years. Powered by a super-charged 9-cylinder radial engine, the An-2 is no speed demon.
In fact, she is quite the opposite. There have been reports that this plane will fly, under full control, at speeds as low as 30 MPH! The An-2 was produced up to 2001 with over 18,000 built and remains in service with military and civilian operators around the world. The Flite Test Master Series An-2 Annie is loaded with classic 1940's style and scale looks. However, its her gentle personality and well-behaved flight characteristics that you will love. Stable flights and smooth landing are the hallmarks of this Soviet-style bi-plane.
You can always dial up your rates and tear up the sky for some aerobatic fun! The Flite Test An-2 is a stable flyer with unique looks and will be a welcome addition to any fleet.

Awesome sport plane
The battery recommendations are way off. It needs a 4S 2300 battery for power and cg. I tried it with a :S 1800 and it wouldn’t balance. With the 4S, it’s just perfect. A STOL performer with scale looks that is quite fast and has strong rudder performance. I love taking this out to just have fun.

An-2 Annie
I have built most of the FT Simple series and several mini masters, but this was my first large master build. While the actual build wasn’t too bad, it was incredibly tail-heavy so flights were brief and always resulted in crashes. Added 14 small wheel weights to the cowl, and now it’s a fun, scale STOL biplane. Decent loops, but slow rolls. I have never been so jittery with the sticks, but after 3 good flights, I can relax and enjoy it.

Russian Biplane
What a fun build this was! I put the 1995 Aeroflot livery on mine. Flies great. Thanks Flite Test!
