Wonderful plane with a few caveats
Hi all! I’m a slow building person who takes his time and tries to get it right.
Just maidened my sportster yesterday, here are my comments:
- CG adjustment is very important - take your time and get it right.
- I installed a lemon rx Gen 2 gyro in my sportster which made it an absolute breeze to fly despite wind gusting up to 18 mph on the maiden flight day
- To get the COG right I placed the engine as far forward as possible and also added a 3000 mah battery to the flite pack c motor which I had. If I had t done that my COG would have been too far back, resulting in a very hard to fly aircraft.
- Overal a wonderful project that flew absolutely beautifully with the minor modifications as specified above.
- Million thanks to Josh Bixler and team for everything you do for the hobby Keep it up!!
