Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
Flite Test, you let me down on this. First of all, there is only one screwdriver in this kit. Not two, like the picture shows. And the prop shaft size, really? I thought these Power Packs were supposed to have all the electronics you need that are all COMPATIBLE. Clearly, the prop hole is too small and not meant for the Radial motor shaft. Real bummer too, since this is the third plane I'm building from Flite Test (Simple Scout), yet the first one with a Radial motor. I was excited about these new motors but to realize that this new power pack ships them with the wrong propellers? Not ok. And I know now that my kit wasn't an anomaly since I now know that the majority of these existing reviews legitimize my frustration.
Anyway, it's a cool electronics kit but c'mon, FT! Putting on the prop is the last thing you do when building a plane. I was having a relatively successful build and then WHAM, the prop size comes in and dampens my euphoria of finishing a build! This needs to be fixed.

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
This motor is a quad motor. you have to get special props to fit or buy a reamer due to shaft size . It will NOT accept regular Props, Nor a prop saver ether??. Save your money get a regular aircraft motor for Ft planes such as EMAX CF2822 1200kV Brushless Motor You will be miles ahead. Shame On You {Flight Test}

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
I would not buy this kit again. The BEC built into the ESC would brown out when attempting to use all four servos in the Simple Cub, I had trouble figuring out the issue, because the receiver would continually reboot. Luckily I had great support from my local RC club to troubleshoot the issue. Also the props I received did not fit the supplied motor, Again luckily I had friends that informed me I need a prop reamer to fit the prop to the motor, something not supplied in the kit or even on the Flight Test store, and also not mentioned in the build instructions or videos.

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
The pack B is a great pack, but can I recommend one thing to add to this pack and maybe have it for sale in your store. is having a prop saver that will fit this pack specially when you sell this pack with the cub plane as a begginer level plane. I think I will use my metal lathe and make one to fit this for my plane. For any one out there the shaft is 6mm and there isn't one available on the market. Flite test let see if you can get one made for the rest of the fans!

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
This item worked well... to a point. To start the kit only came with a short hex key not the screwdriver shown in the photos. Second the ESC would work well until you try to use more than two servos at a time. I found this issue and contacted customer support. They sent a replacement, same problem. Another one, same problem. Then they sent a Hobbywing Flyfun 40A V5 Brushless ESC and so far it has worked well. Great job customer support! Except for the esc and hex key the rest of the kit worked as described. If you are looking at buying it I would suggest getting the parts individually and get a different ESC.

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
Nice tidy powerpack kit, the screwdriver is nice quality, hex keys not so much but I didn’t use them anyway. Nice convenient kit with everything needed for the Simple Cub build. I like the box, my new hot glue gun fits in it perfectly.

If I am honest I wouldn’t buy another powerpack as I think the parts would work out cheaper if sourced individually, but for a beginner who doesn’t want to trawl through bangood for hours its brilliant.

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
The item was missing one of the tools from the product description. Also it did not include any propellers. I had to purchase them from a local store or I would not have been able to fly my plane the day I completed the build.

With the exception of the missing items from the description everything else worked well.

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
Works great. Bought two and both were as advertised.

The motors have taken a beating as my son and I learn to fly. They
continue to work just fine.

We've replaced the props with flexible
props to eliminate prop breakage as the reason to go home. ;)

It was useful to have all the non-radio electronics
and associated screws, fasteners, and such in one package.

Flite Test Power Pack B "Radial Edition"
Just received the B Power Pack and amazed. Everything I needed in one box to put together a trainer and go fly. Everything clicked , beeped and ratcheted correctly. Prop made the wind blow. Slowly learning the lingo of KV ratings, esc amps, and batteries but this gives a great starting point. The guys at hobby store, the field and facebook just bury you in their jargon and crucify you for any awkward attempt at doing something different as a complete beginner. This kit and lot of time on forums and you can get into this hobby on your own and learn to fly with something you are not scared to crash. I have a couple balsa models done on the sidelines if this FT Explorer ever gets a couple safe landings. Not sure it will get the sport wing in the air but that is what I'm building. Lifelong dream to fly RC and excited about trying some of the kits in the store. My scratch attempt with dollar tree board looks slightly "janky" but maybe paint will dress it up. Flite Test, you have an awesome store, training and entertainment site.
