Current stock: 0

This is a simple elegant quad copter that has been designed to be painless to work on and repair. It is manufactured out of high quality 3K twill carbon fiber. The Xhover R5X swings a max prop size of 5". The R5X features a press nut system, allowing effortless removal of arms and uncomplicated repairs. In addition, the R5X consist of 2 M3 screws which permits less of a hassle when removing the arms. Fortunately, this quad copter does not require any other tools. Its unique PDB/FC mounting design allows the convenience of removing all the arms and bottom plate without removing the PDB/FC from the quad copter entirely. It’s a quad copter you will enjoy working on.

Racing drones are intended to be fast and crash hard! You have limited time for repairs when you’re out their racing! Lets face it, time on the field is valuable and with the convenience of only needing an M3 driver to replace parts, your focus can stay on flying.

Camera options

Mounting an FPV camera on this frame is also made easy and simple. This quad copter features 2 carbon plates that hold the fpv camera tight and snug, insuring your camera won't tilt down or up while racing. The camera mounting system allows you to get a max 45 degree angle providing you great flying for freestyle and racing. The R5X also gives you the ability to mount an HD camera, such as a GoPro.

Simple PDB

This frame comes with a custom designed PDB with 5/12v output built in and Max input 6s (22.2v). It is important to note that some components require 5v or 12v with this PDB. There should be no issues powering small components requiring 5/12v output.  The R5X is designed to have tabs extend outside of the FC to make soldering your ESC's easier and replacing them without having to remove the flight controller.

This is my third quad not counting nanos and inductrix. It was a really fun, tight and clean build no complaints there! I got it with the first gen lux board and the better power pack, i had some struggles getting through betaflight and making sure my wiring was correct but after some research got it all running correctly. First time flying it i went through 4 packs and had 4 crashes of varying severity, only thing i broke was an antenna elbow which i was able to fix. This thing is a tank and fly's great!! Really great quality, would not hesitate to recommend it. Also the durable props are pretty amazing.

Tough little bird

I chose the XHover R5X for my first build based on TJ's recommendation in the build video. I recently took it out for its first flight (and my first non-DJI quad flight). I don't know how many times I crashed this thing, suffice it to say, a lot. The air-frame held up great while taking a beating. This thing, as configured (I went for "the best" power packs) may have been too much for my first racing drone, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Now I just have to figure out the best way to get the caked in dirt and sand out from between my FC and other components, sucker could use some kind of windshield. I'll be using XHover frames again in the future.
