Well Kaptin Moron unless you have used one you don't even have a clue how awesome these are I think on the big circuit these will help the losi drivers come out on top . I on the other hand bought one and can tell you that with two aluminum rsx ko propo servos my 8ight 2.0 placed up front it handles like never before . The servo brace gives much more support compared to the gen 2 tray because the old tray was weak and allowed the steering servo to move back and forth slapping against the tray damaging the servo case. When i put the servos in I placed a small piece of servo tape between the the two , just in case . This tray also allows you to place your battery sooo much easier letting place my ko propo switch 2 on top of the battery box looking perfect like it's supposed to be their . So I guess all and all this is the purchase to make if you want to improve your handling and make your gas and brake as smooth as butter with bearings , only up sides when looking at this product . Losi really did a great job with this new radio tray design. I really like having both servos up and away from the heat and noise of the engine. The radio switch (should you choose to install one, they include a cover for the spot if you don't) has been moved all the way to the back of the tray, making it easy to reach a finger into the body to turn it on and off. It came with almost every piece needed to get all set up in case you happened to lose (or break) any parts from your old radio tray, more on what its missing below. Aside from the steering servo horn and the electronics themselves all the screws needed for mounting and assembly are included, with the exception of the set screw for the antenna. They were even kind enough to include a small tube of thread locking compound. For those having trouble fitting servos the manual has a pretty explicit guide in it as to what servos will fit, and what spacers you will need (several thicknesses are included). In my case I use Hi-Tec servos and they fit perfectly.
Now then, some of the cons, and there are a few of them.
My biggest gripe with this tray: The battery door is VERY hard to get on and off with this tray revision, it no longer has pegs you can use body clips with like the GenII. Instead it uses two hex screws to hold the cover down. These screws, and the right hand lip of the cover just so happen to be DIRECTLY below the throttle linkage making it very awkward to take off and put on if you don't have a setup for charging your RX batteries while they are still in the car.
Other problems you might run into:
-No servo horn spacers (inserts) are included, they do include a horn for the throttle servo but you need the Losi spacers to get it to fit properly.
-For those users with the Spektrum SR3300T you may find that the engine temperature probe is a bit short, you will likely need to install it on the engine then plug it in.
-The mounting point for the antenna tube has been moved back slightly (about 1.5 inches), you will need to drill another hole in your body for it to fit (8ight buggy users).
-There isn't a lot of extra space in the receiver compartment for extra wires or a transponder, the battery compartment is quite roomy though.
Overall this seems like a pretty major improvement over the Gen II and even with the awkward battery tray I still prefer it over the Gen II. The weight shift will be noticeable to more serious racers. 4 out of 5 stars with the missing one being for that annoying battery cover.

Do they enter SAVOX 2 servos in the hole for the servo?
Gen 3 tray is bang on. I must have option if running the TLR family of vehicles. Transponder goes in the receiver box where it belongs ;-)
This is an excellent product but a pain to set up. This really helps with the life of the throttle servo moving it into a more comfortable position. Also the balance of the truggy is fantastic it will stay level with any kind of jump. It has two negative things about it firstly the reciever box is quite small running an airtronics reciever you can not fit any kind of transponder, secondly setting up is the worst thing to do but it is worth it. recommended to most people.
2nd Tray for me ! First one, a mount broke off during racing, located under the brake/throttle linkage to the chassis. The reciever box needs to be a little bigger to house the extra wires from servos so that they are not pinched when closing the lid !
The mounting under the throttle/ brake linkage wore out and stripped ! Overall durable / could be cheaper!
This tray has increased steering but will not be noticed by a NOOB !
I had the same problem as Ivan. I had two JR servos which won't fit into the servo slots. I had to modify it a little to make them fit. (NO MATTER WHAT SERVO, IT IS A TIGHT FIT). I also did the bearing mod for the horn since there was a lot of slop. If you race at a high flying jumping track, this works great and relives some stress on the servos....
Good radio tray but a few things really annoyed me... The instructions are horrible and specified screws that were too long to hold the servos in place. This lead to me stripping out the holes. They didn't mention anything about including 2 shorter screws in a seperate parts bag which would have prevented my problem. Also you need a little adapter to connect the new servo horn to your servo but the kit doesn't include these... Don't be stingy Losi and include all the parts required.
I did the bearing mod and a new steering horn. I like this tray! I guess the only downside is that you have to remove six screws instead of four to remove the radio tray.
Losi didn't put much thought into this at all, there isn't even a spot for a transponder.. The instructions are horrible. We will probably buy the older version next time. I think they had a good idea but it wasn't thought out to well.
I think Losi is in the good direction in innovation but...but, small question for LOSI engineer staff if you have two servos futaba, you have 20 x 2 = 40mm of width, if you have two JR servos you have 0.82" x 2 = 41.656 mm, in the first case futaba you NEED a HOLE more big than 40mm right? two servos isn't a pin element, i could't insert two servos in a hole the same form as i insert a pin in a hole. I find in my TLR4401 a hole of 40mm for two servos. In the second case i have a hole of 40mm to insert two servos of 41.656mm of width, so nice. This is my case.
Other element the length of servos screws; we need two screws, the same length as i found in the kit, but the other 6 screws we need more length, if i make a good assemble of my servos.
Please for two standard servos in the world we need a width > 41.656mm, more or less 42 mm or 42.5mm with the holes of screws good spaced. Could your try to install this kit for see what i write you??

it is overpriced and has no difference on 2nd gen, My 2nd gen radio tray serve me well actually i put my 11 year old ko propo on my throttle /brake and still working after using 12 gallons of fuel.. like the first reviewer no transponder placement like mugen or the 2nd gen.
