Spektrum RC DSMX Quad Racing Serial Receiver w/Telemetry
I have been a faithful Spektrum Radio user for years but the SPM4697T is my first exposure into DSMX Telemetry. I installed it immediately upon receipt in my new Rooster build and everything is working flawlessly. It bound on it's first attempt as well as discovery of the telemetry link. All I had to do is activate "auto-config" in the telemetry screen and it all came to life. It took all of a few seconds to complete the task.
My only disappointment is that the VTX command screen is not functional in Betaflight ... just yet. Full support is slated for the BF 3.3 version release. I'm anxious to be able to control my TBS Unify from a single screen.
All in all, the implementation for micro and mini quads looks to be seamless and a success.

Spektrum RC DSMX Quad Racing Serial Receiver w/Telemetry
This receiver will not light up until it is in bind mode. You can jump the signal wire and the ground wire before you power up and it will go into bind mode. At this point it will light up. Then you can bind it to your transmitter. Hope this helps someone.
