Embrace the history of the T-28 Trojan military trainer in an RC plane. The FT Mighty Mini T-28 Trojan pairs well with the FT Aura 5 for steadier rides.
Mighty Mini T-28 Trojan
Entering service in the 1950's and replacing the aging T-6 Texan, the North American Aviation T-28 Trojan was a piston-engine military trainer aircraft used by both the US Air Force and the US Navy. The Navy continued to use it right up to the early 1980's. Besides Its use as a trainer, the T-28 saw success as a counter-insurgency aircraft during the Vietnam War. The Flite Test Mighty Mini T-28 Trojan is a nimble flyer with many scale details. A Power Pack F gives it plenty of power, even on 3S. The FT Mini T-28 packs plenty of punch and was designed for excitement. For more scale flying, dial your rates way back. Pair it with the FT Aura 5 flight controller for a more trainer-like experience. The Aura 5 will also smooth out your flights by removing the adverse effects of wind gusts. Once built, finish and customize your FT Mini T-28 by painting it, and applying the included decals for a scale appearance. The story of this great aircraft continues in civilian use as an aerobatics and warbird performer. Join that story with your FT Mini T-28 and make great memories with your friends and family.

FT Mini Master Series T-28
This little pocket rocket is faster than my son’s larger P-40. It flies scale or wild on 4S 850 batteries. The build was pretty nice, and I re-created the white-red Navy look. I love the wheels for hands-off takeoff and landing. Having built almost every Flite Test mini, I was still surprised by the speed. Another great Overstreet design!

Fly it fast!
The Trojan is a speed machine! Fast on 3s and crazy on 4s. Very stable at high speeds, tip stalling tendency at (too) low speeds. If you’re comfortable with high speeds and enjoy wider maneuvers, this plane is for you! I got mine with the optional landing gear, which works great. Space for battery and receiver is constraint.

Nice plane, weak spar
Flew pretty nice, for a short while. The spar broke and the wing folded on my maiden flite...and I am NOT an aggressive pilot. The real shame is this plane was a gift from my son and it crashed while he was watching. Sadly it seems beyond repair too.
There's room in this plane for the spar to be twice as big. If you build it, supplement the spar with a wire or replace it with something thicker.
