FT Mustang WR (1016mm)
The FT mustang is a four channel warbird trainer that will help you discover the flight characteristics of a warbird. However we wanted to eliminate the scale stall tendencies that warbirds often have. The wing mounted landing gear will enable you to learn landing tail-dragger techniques and perfect the classic “touch and go” on a calm evening. Although fast and nimble, this pony will slow down to a stall and not drop a wing tip. Our hope with this design is that it will give you the security to push the limits, fly a little lower, and discover the joys that a great scale warbird can provide.
NOTE: This includes the airframe only (no electronics).
This airframe is compatible with the swappable series developed by Josh Bixler.

I wanted to build a warbird but I'm not ready for an advanced model. This was easy and with the videos, it's hard to get wrong. If you're wondering if this is a worthwhile purchase, stop wondering and buy it.
This plane flys very easy and stable for a warbird. It is especially impressive in windy conditions,I have flown it in 10 -12mph winds, and in gusty winds it does jump around a little, but still very easy to control.Guys at my flying field hesitate to fly their store bought planes in such winds, and are surprized when i fly the mustang as well as my Ft3d without a bit of worry.
On one windy day i did land a little hard and tore out the right landing gear,as it is it only hot glued into foamboard with a plywood backer, but after re hotgluing it the gear held like it was first built.
I really enjoy flying this plane and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun flyer!
Decided for my first build I didn't want to risk cutting out the kit myself. Ordered the kit and it assembled pretty easily. Got some pretty good flights out of it before I destroyed the nose and wing tips. Should have taken Josh's advice and cut a few out. I've built one from the plans since, the laser cut is so much better. Still new to the flying thing so once I get a little better I plan to order another one. They come out looking pretty sharp from the laser cut.
Another thing is they warn of a couple business days to get orders out, I'm on my third or fourth order and these guys get them out within a day, and the packing slip with who packed the order is pretty cool too.
Thanks guys, your videos and service are outstanding. Can't wait to build and fly a plane with my son.
