Coming from three channel aircraft, I was a little lost as to what my first four channel aircraft would be. After discovering the Flite Test channel on YouTube, and seeing how easy it was to build these aircraft, I decided to purchase the FT Mini Sportster. It came in under four days and I was ready to build it. The build was easy, and forgiving, and it came together smoothly. For electronics, I used a salvaged motor and ESC from an old Kyosho 3-Channel, which I later upgraded to the suggested Emax motor and a 15-Amp Castle Creations Brushless ESC I got elsewhere. I spent under 50 dollars for the servos, battery, and other various parts (not including the new motor and ESC), and I finally finished it in under two days, and it flies beautifully. Overall extremely pleased with the outcome, thank you Flite Test!

This is my second plane. My firs was a Mighty MINi Tiny Trainer.
The Mini Sportster is a PERFECT second plane especially if you have Phoenix Flight Simulator. It teaches the techniques to get you to more realistic looking round planes versus the square looking earlier designs that flight test offed. It is a Fun and agile plane to fly. And if you have Phoenix Flight Sim you can fly My Mini Sportster!
