Flite Test Power Pack G V2
I recently ordered the parts for a new FT Gremlin drone, including the frame and the Power Pack G V2. Upon receiving the parts I attempted to assemble the drone according to the assembly video on YouTube. Unfortunately, the assembly video used the Power Pack G original (not V2) so when I went to assemble my drone with the Power Pack G V2 I ran into some major obstacles. The motors would not screw into the frame, there was little to no documentation on how to wire the electronics, and the firmware I was told to use in the video did not work. I had to spend hours modifying the frame and ended up frying the ESC twice due to inadequate documentation.

(Especially if you're a noob) beware before you buy this for the FT Gremlin since it is not compatible with the existing frame and instructional video. Please update your documentation Flite Test!

Flite Test Power Pack G V2
I was reluctant at first because I could'nt find any vidios or blogs on the new power pack but as long as you realise its omnibus not a sp racing Flight Controller. The power pack G v2 is very strait forward to setup and get flying.
I did have to dig pretty hard to find pin outs to be sure where to hook up. I bought the dead cat frame to go with it a little disapointed that FC mounting holds were for a larger stack but a little drilling fixed that.Over all very happy.

Flite Test Power Pack G V2
The documentation is very lacking for this kit. I smoked my ESC... If you want to build the Gremlin from the video instead of the V2 power pack you will need the following in addition to all the other parts. This list ONLY builds the power pack

Flite Test Power Pack G V2
As of 8/7/19
Ok so here is a review of the FT gremlin kit with power pack G(v2)and Adres Lu chassis as sold in the FT store as of july 2019.

Firstly the the FT Gremlin build video is for version 1, so its interesting but not totally applicable.
the (v2)motors the kit is supplied with do not have the same mounting hole spacing. the motor holes are wider by a smidge, maybe a millimeter, just enough the screws won't align. So you'll have to drill/carve out the mounting holes in the chassis slightly.(I did this by putting the same size drill bit in the drillpress and gently carved out the holes into slots)
the center holes for the motor driveshaft were slightly tight also and had to be champherd/de-burred, because the c-clip was binding in the hole.
the chassis is not drilled for the mounting posts of the Flight Controller(FC) tower(use the metal screws to mount the posts from the bottom of the chassis, the plastic ones go on top). A punchset/awl or nail will work nicely to mark the holes for drilling. the delrin plastic is pretty tough so if the holes aren't perfect don't worry just stretch them into slots. In short the chassis and and PPackv2 are not compatible right out the box, but its not a huge problem with some fiddling.

Secondly the FC the kit is supplied with is the *Full speed 16x16mm FSD-Baby F3 Tower 2S* (2S only works with 2cell Lipo).
Basically there is very little info on this FC online, no manual, no wiring pinout, nada. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3020780-Question-about-the-pinout-of-the-FSD-Baby-F3-Tower this pic is closest to a pinout but really doesn't tell you anything...
by the way RX1 is UART1, that should help with wiring and with betaflight :) (https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight-configurator)the chip comes flashed with beteflight and supports Dshot600.

Thirdly(is that a word?)with the new tower style FC there is very little room under the top plate of the chassis to samitch in a receiver, so the flysky X6B just barely fits, pretty much just jammed under there.(the X6B is 5volt)
as far a the electronics go i wouldn't have been able to figure it out without youtubers bluefalcon and joshua bardwell

in conclusion(TL/DR): the Gremlin kit as of this review is not plug and play out the box and requires several hours of fiddling to get it together. Now that its done and running we are pretty happy with it and it flies well. i hope the tips/issues above help to get yours together quick and easy.
