    1. Really Neat

Just completed building the plane. Went together nice. Ready to fly. Waiting for good weather. on 10th Mar 2017

    2. Great builder and awesome product.

Amaking product and great company. Had a ordering issue but the flitetest team made it correct right away and I couldn't be more pleased. I've enjoyed building this kit and couldn't ask for anything better. on 6th Mar 2017

    3. A little delivery damage... .

First let me say I'm absolutely happy with my purchase. And hope soon to be assembling. The only thing I could see that stood out was a slight crease in the I believe was the right wing. The other side of that wing seems fine but may make it look a little messed up even though I truly believe it won't hurt flying ability. I just love the design and the fact that it has landing wheels. The a fore mentioned is the only reason for the Four Star Rating. on 10th Dec 2016

    4. Great First Build

If you are new to building planes with foamboard, this is a GREAT kit to start with. The build is simple and easy to follow, and the plane is really fun and also easy to fly. I had almost second guessed this kit because I thought it looked too "beginner" for me, and I didn't know if the Scout was going to be very fun in the air. It turns out that it is very fast and maneuverable, and it a great 3 channel plane to have some fun with as you get used to basic aerobatics. I highly recommend this kit to all beginner builders and flyers! on 21st Nov 2016

    5. first build?

im thankful to flite test for their easy to build designs and this was the first plane i was able to assemble myself. So flite test, josh. and anyone who helped design the scout. Thanks for boosting my self esteem in this hobby on 15th Oct 2016

    6. Great kit

I have built three of these and find them fun to fly. Assembles very fast like most spped build kits. Inexpensive so you don't worry ab out loosing it or crashing. Download the plans and you can replace any part necessary without ordering another kit. on 1st Oct 2016

    7. The Scout is a relaxing flyer, good for beginners

I tried the FT Mini Arrow first and could never launch it without an immediate nose dive. The Scout was my second attempt to build an FT Mini. This one flew right out of my hands without any issue; a truly pleasant and relaxing park flyer. Slow flying enough for a novice to respond to, if the control deflections are set to low angle.

I'm found the use of foam to hold in the landing gear was insufficient. Use the foam cut-out as a template to cut out a 3mm piece of hobby-grade basswood or plywood and hot glue that on top of the wire if you don't want your landing gear wire to rip up the bottom of your plane on a rough landing ;)

    8. FT Scout what an awesome little plane!!!

I have been watching videos from flight test for some time now and was fairly empressed with what you guys do, After a failed attempt at a balsa kit with very poor instructions i might add ,having only flown small bind and flys up untill this point I decided to try the "mini scout"
The kit arrived promptly and the build video was very easy to follow, the bevel cut took a little practice but the plane went together smoothly and quickly a coat of paint on the water resistant foam and she was ready to fly . She flew like an absolute dream almost no trim adjustments needed I can not say enough good things about Flight Test I will be ordering more kits from you guys ,if your undecided about trying this plane don't think buy this plane now!!!

    10. Finding Fresh Air in a Late Start

I'm just starting out in the hobby and what a joy to find Flite Test. Assembly of the scout was easier than I could have imagined or attempted on my own. The assembly videos are so well done. Haven't flown it yet, but can't wait. on 15th Jul 2016
