The FT Racer is inspired by modern day air racers and posseses a lot of the same characteristics as the planes it was designed after. This plane is a fast, crisp, precise and locked in machine that cuts through the air like an arrow. Though the FT Racer is very quick, it also has a very wide speed envelope, it tracks very well, and would be a great introduction to sport pattern flying and aerobatics.
-Will ship within 3 business days.
-This includes the airframe only (no electronics).
-This airframe is compatible with the swappable series developed by Josh Bixler.

Well the airplane flies great!! It hardly took any trim, just a few clicks on the elevator and flies just like they said...on rails. The build was not as it should be however, first the "C"kit servo extensions that came with it were too short, only reaching mid wing. This made it difficult to use the power pod without cutting a access hole in the top of the fuse, before gluing the cover on it.The rest of the build went just as the video. The fuse doesn't line up quite as shown but is workable. It is important to make sure you place the wing and tail feathers correctly, a friend built one and did not as he was a novice builder and they plane was a handful, eventually crashing badly. So be careful to build it as shown in the video. You can assemble it while watching and pause until you get to the next step. Best way for a new builder. Darrell Miller on 1st Sep 2016
I am getting into the RC hobby again after flying once 14 years ago and crashing beyond repair. I ran across the FT videos, and ended up deciding to give it another try.
When I came across this plane, I knew it was the one. The recommended build level is expert, but I'm no stranger to building and tinkering, so I figured I could manage. The recommended flight skill is intermediate, so I decided to run a flight Simulator while I waited for it to come in.
The kit arrived, packed exceptionally well, and I called up two of my buds to help me out in putting it together. I had watched all the tip videos and the plane build video, and they made all the difference.
Putting this plane together was easier than I originally thought, and it is very well designed. My friends and I had a blast putting it together and made a great memory along the way.
I maidened and had a friendly meeting with a tree due to pilot error. We pulled it down and to my surprise there was almost no damage! The second flight was a complete success.
I highly recommend this plane to anyone, and couldn't be happier with how it flies!
Great work FT!

So this is my first build ever. I know it said expert build, but I kind of have the go big or go home mentality so I went for it. I bought the power pack C, a 2200mah 3s 20C battery, balance charger, 6ch transmitter and went for it. I think it turned out awesome considering I was tinkering and figuring out everything as I go. I coated it in the minwax today and will spray paint it tomorrow most likely. I can't wait to get it in the air! As long as this weather cooperates. I messed up the empennage, but thanks to the awesome tiled plans, I printed out the pages I needed (7,8 and 15) and traced it over some foam board and voila, brand new tail section! I've wanted to get into this hobby for a while, but never had the guts until a friend recommended this plane to me so here I am. Brandyn on 25th Feb 2016
This is my third plane overall, and its the first plane that i have built, its been an amazing expierience from the build process to the maiden flight. This is by far the fastest plane i have ever flown, with the Power Pack C. Overall this is a great plane, and i look foward to my next FT plane, seeing something fly that you built is a great feeling! Steven Arnold on 3rd Dec 2015
Great kit but I had some confusion working on the nose of the plane.. Installind the two allignment scewer pieces and should the nose be completly open? How should the battery be mounted? My kit is finally assembled and can't wait to fly it.l Unknown on 3rd Dec 2015
And my only reaction is WOW!! What an awesome experience building this plane. Received in perfect pacaging here in S.A, and it puts together exactly as the build video instructs. I put the paint on to thick, but learnt so much in the process!
To the FT team... BIG thumbs up guys!!! Cannot wait to get my next kit (rand/dollar exchange and shipping makes it very hard though) and get my warbird fleet going... Tehilah on 22nd Nov 2015
Love this plane build. this is my second kit and will buy another as soon as I destroy this one. Fun to fly and to my untrained eye, really has a great look when trying to fly scale. I'm still pretty green, only been flying for about a year, but fell hard.
Only changes I made to the build this time was I added hot glue around the exposed foam on the wings leading edges and around to the ailerons because that's where the paper began to fail on the last build. And I've added a piece of foam board above and below the motor alignment skewers to help withstand my rare, but not unheard of "nose into the ground" landings.
I've built FT kits before, and this is just as easy as the others.
I've also used a light coat of camouflage spray paint colors and it looks great in the air!

First Speed build. Ordered the kit with the power pod. Everything was packaged nicely, and it's clear that care went into the entire package. Easy to build and a joy to fly. Great product. Speed Racer on 25th May 2015
It was super easy to build and flies like an arrow. I will definitely be buying another.
